"If you didn't sign up in advance, don't worry – we are focused on moving millions of customers through the line as fast as possible," wrote BlackBerry's head of BBM Andrew Bocking in a blog post explaining the steps the company is taking to ensure a "smooth roll out" for the apps. The 6m people who signed up for information on the BBM website before the original launch in September get immediate access, however. It's asking people to download BBM and register their email addresses, then wait for an email to notify them that they can use the app.
